Create a new Test
To create a new test for your course:
1. Select your course in the Course Builder, Course Admin screen.
2. Select the CREATE TEST button.
The Create Test pop-up is displayed.
3. Enter the following details:
- Test Name - for example <Name of course> Test.
- No of Questions to ask - for example, 10.
- Pass Rate (%) - for example 80.
4. Select the CREATE TEST button.
The Test Editor for <Name of course> is displayed.

Add questions to a test
This article assumes that you have created a new test or are adding questions to an existing test.
You are on the Test Editor for <Name of course> page. You can see the test details in the top right corner of the screen. This includes:
- The current status of the test.
- The number of questions in the test.
- The pass mark percentage.
1. Select the Add Question button.
The Add a Question pop-up is displayed.
2. Enter your question in the Question Text box. When you start typing, a Create button is displayed. When you have finished entering the question, select the Create

Add answers to your questions
This article assumes that you have added at least one question to your test.
You can add answers to your questions from the Test Editor screen.
1. Select the the question you want to add answers to.
The Answers area is displayed. There are currently no answers as you have not yet added any.
2. Select the Add Answer button.
The Add an Answer pop-up is displayed.
3. Enter your answer in the Answer Text box.
4. If the answer is correct, enter 1 in the Score field. If it is incorrect, leave the Score field as 0.

Edit test settings
This article assumes that you have created a test and want to make changes to some or all of the original settings. You are in the Test Editor screen.
To change any of the test settings:
1. Select the Edit Settings button from the left navigation menu.
The Edit Test pop-up is displayed. In this pop-up, you can change any of the following settings:
- Name
- Number of questions asked
- Pass rate
- Whether the test is active.
2. Place the cursor in any of the fields and edit as required.

Edit an existing test
This article assumes that you have created your test and now wish to edit it.
To open the Test Editor:
1. Select your course in the Course Builder, Course Admin screen.
2. Select the EDIT TEST button.
The Edit Test pop-up is now displayed. This displays the test name, the number of questions in the test, pass rate and whether the test is active.
3. Select the EDIT QUESTIONS / ANSWERS button.
The Test Editor screen is displayed, showing the test details and questions.
You can now perform the following actions:
- Add questions to a test
- Add answers to your questions
- Edit a test question
- Delete a question
- Deactivate a question
- Edit an answer to a question
- Delete answers to questions
- Deactivate answers to questions

Edit a test question
This article assumes that you have created a test and added questions and are in the Test Editor screen.
To edit a question text:
1. Select the Edit button of the question you want to change.
The Edit a Question pop-up is displayed.
2. Place the cursor in the Question Text box and make your changes.
3. When you have finished making your changes, select the SAVE button.
Your updated question is displayed in the Test Editor screen.

Delete a question
This article assumes that you have created a test and added questions and are in the Test Editor screen. At this point you want to delete existing questions, including their answers.
To delete a question:
1. Select the question you want to delete. It's a good idea to open this question to check that you are deleting the right question.
2. Select the Edit button.
The Edit a Question pop-up is displayed.
3. Select the Delete button.
A confirmation message is displayed.
4. Select Yes to delete the question and all it's answers.
The question is deleted.
An alternative to

Deactivate a question
This article assumes that you have created a test and added questions and have accessed the Test Editor screen. At this point you want to delete or change questions. There are different options if you don't want users to see all of the questions in your test.
This article describes the process of deactivating a question. To do this:
1. Select the Active button.
The question is now inactive. The Active toggle is now white and the question text is displayed on a white background.

Edit an answer to a question
This article assumes that you have created a test and added questions and are in the Test Editor screen. At this point you want to change answers to questions.
To edit an answer:
1. Open the question you want to edit.
The answers to the question are displayed. Alongside the answers are an Active toggle and an Edit button.
2. Select the Edit button.
The Edit an Answer pop-up is displayed.
3. Place the cursor in the Answer Text box and make your changes.
4. Select the SAVE button.
Your updated answer is displayed.

Delete answers to questions
This article assumes that you have created a test and added questions and are in the Test Editor screen. At this point you want to delete or change answers to questions. There are different options if you don't want users to see all of the answers to your questions.
The first option is to delete the answers. To do this:
1. Open the question you want to edit.
The answers to the question are displayed. Alongside the answers are an Active toggle and an Edit button.
2. Select the Edit button.
The Edit an Answer pop-up is displayed.

The answer is deactivated and will not be displayed in the test.
